Salesforce.com?

Is there anyone out there familiar with Salesforce.com? I need a way to place a drop down for opportunity product type when a lead is converted to an opportunity. we have several products that have specific opportunity fields, but when the rep converts a lead to an opportunity, it goes to a default opportunity page.

You need to look into Field Mapping.
As long as there is a field of the same field-type at the Opportunity end, the lead field can be mapped to it upon conversion.
In a nutshell:
1) Create a custom field on the Opportunity page that you want the information to map to
2) In Lead field setup, map the lead field to the appropriate Opportunity field.
