factors considered while recruiting salesforce?

Only from my personal experience of hiring salespeople…
1. They must be able to handle rejection. This is my top criteria. Selling is a rejection business.
2. They cannot be afraid of cold-calling. A salesguy should spend most of their time on the phone.
3. They must have perserverance. My salesguys often make over 100 calls before landing an appointment with the decision maker.
4. They must be honest when selling. Making wild promises just to close a deal always comes back to haunt a firm.
